Job Title: Asst. Manager - Project Purchase Civil
Area: Purchase of Projects & Opex
Reports to: Head - Project Purchase
Responsible for: Procuring materials and services for civil team requirements, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery, while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning for procurement for all project items & services as per indent.
- Floating Enquiries and inviting offers
- Evaluate supplier proposals, Preparing Comparative statements, and Negotiation of offers
- Preparing Approval notes and take approval from responsible authorities
- Prepare, maintain and review the status of requisitions, Preparing orders in SAP/contracts, Perform contract/order amendment processes and coordinate for Advance payments
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services in line with project schedules
- Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
- Prepare procurement reports and manage project budgets related to materials and supplies.
- Maximum utilization of E auctions during final negotiations, Cost reduction by standardization, value analysis, vendor development.
- Handling Post award contract management issues
- Release of Bank Guarantee, security deposit, retention money
- Any other jobs as assigned.
Competencies
- Negotiation Skills should have managed contracts worth more than 100Crs preferably in greenfield project/civil engineering or construction projects
- Required exposure to global sourcing regulations.
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and material testing
- Analytical skills, Interpersonal Skills, Excel & PowerPoint skills
Education & Experience
Diploma / bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, background with minimum 6 years’ experience in Project and Opex procurement

Ideal candidate for this position will be a skilled procurement professional with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of experience in project and Opex procurement, preferably in greenfield, civil engineering, or construction projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, comparative analysis, SAP-based procurement processes, and handling high-value contracts exceeding ₹100 Crores. Exposure to global sourcing regulations, quality inspection procedures, and material testing will be preferred. The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, and coordination skills, along with the ability to ensure timely procurement, cost optimization, and efficient post-contract management for project execution at the Bharuch location.
