About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Process & Proposals professional with strong expertise in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing process designs, basic engineering packages, detailed engineering deliverables, and techno-commercial proposals for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review process engineering deliverables for WTP, STP, ETP, and tertiary treatment systems.
Develop Basic Engineering Packages (BEP) including:
o Process Design Basis
o Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
o Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
o Mass & Water Balance
o Hydraulic Calculations
o Equipment Sizing and Selection
o Process Datasheets
Support Detailed Engineering by coordinating with Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Piping disciplines.
Prepare and evaluate technical proposals, bid documents, and tender submissions.
Interpret customer specifications, tender requirements, and technical standards.
Perform technology selection and process optimization based on project requirements.
Prepare technical queries, clarifications, deviations, and compliance statements during bidding.
Coordinate with vendors for technical evaluation, equipment selection, and cost optimization.
Support estimation teams by providing process inputs for costing and BOQ preparation.
Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
Provide engineering support during project execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting when required.
Ensure compliance with international codes, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Hands-on experience in process calculations and hydraulic design.
Knowledge of equipment sizing and selection, including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, membranes, chemical dosing systems, and sludge handling equipment.
Familiarity with engineering standards, design codes, and international specifications.
Proposal Engineering Responsibilities
Review RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
Prepare technical proposals and bid documentation.
Develop process schemes and optimized treatment solutions.
Prepare technical compliance matrices and bid clarifications.
Coordinate with procurement and estimation teams for vendor quotations and costing.
Participate in client presentations and technical negotiations.
Desired Software Skills

MS Office Suite
Excel (Advanced)
WaterCAD / SewerGEMS (preferred)
AFT Fathom or equivalent hydraulic software (preferred)
Process simulation tools (added advantage)
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree is an added advantage.
Desired Candidate Profile
10–20 years of experience in Process Engineering and Proposal Engineering for WTP, STP, and ETP projects.
Experience in EPC organizations handling municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects.
Strong understanding of Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering deliverables.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to handle multiple proposals and engineering projects simultaneously.
Exposure to international projects and desalination/reuse projects will be an added advantage.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in water and wastewater EPC organizations, including municipal and industrial sectors, will be preferred.
