Key Responsibilities
A Technical Coordinator/Engineering Manager is primarily responsible for managing, coordinating, and facilitating technical aspects of projects within the Water EPC industry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing technical engineering disciplines wrt projects (Layouts, Piping, Electrical, instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, 3D modelling), ensuring deliverables align with the overall project objectives and timelines.
- Facilitating communication between client, internal functions and technical departments to ensure clear understanding and execution of project specifications and requirements.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive Engineering documentation, including tracking system updates and technical procedures.
- Conducting regular engineering reviews and reports to update all stakeholders on engineering status and resolving any technical hurdles.
- Implementing best practices and standards for technical operations specific to the Manufacturing industry.
- Creating man power planning, assisting in resource allocation and planning to optimize productivity and man hour budget adherence.
- Maintaining and controlling Man hours through timely reports.
- Decision making on outsourcing of engineering works.
- Vendor and client coordination.
- Maintaining extra claim and time extension cases for respective projects.
Tasks and Duties

- Evaluating engineering constraints and analyzing requirements to propose practical and innovative technological solutions.
- Coordinating troubleshooting and problem resolution activities to minimize downtime and technical disruptions.
- Updating and advising on the enhancement of technologies and methodologies applied in current projects.
- Ensuring all technical activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Education and Certification Requirements
To qualify for the position of Technical Coordinator in the Water industry, candidates are typically expected to meet the following educational and certification criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field, relevant to the specific industry.
- Professional certification that aligns with the responsibilities of the role such as Project Management Professional (PMP), or similarly recognized credentials specific to the industry will be preferred.
- Proven experience in technical project management or coordination, ideally within the Water EPC sector.
