Key Task & Accountabilities
1. To ensure correct analysis being done by classical method and instrumental analysis.
2. Measurement of transmittance and reflectance of glass
3. Preparation of transmission curves as per QC requirement
4. Analysis of sodium nitrate on AAS
5. Analysis of sodium antimonite on AAS
6. Determination of iron of glass on AAS
7. Determination of antimony in glass on AAS
8. Determination of ZrO2 in glass
9. Analysis of glass received.
10. To maintain and evaluate performance of all equipment's and apparatus
11. Inventory control of lab chemicals and spares
12. To maintain ISO document and ensure that day to day routine exercise. Complies with ISO procedures.
13. To maintain up to date records of wet chemistry methods and Instrumental analysis.
14. Experiment and tests related to development activity
15. House keeping
16. Safety
17. Any other jobs as assigned.

Experience of checking the Glass and raw material by wet chemistry.
To plan for cost saving.
To review for more perfection in analysis
To utilize laboratory working hours more efficiently
To review day to day output of laboratory with HOD

Academic & Professional Qualifications
Knowledge of instrumental analysis like spectrophotometer , AAS , XRF
and other modern instruments used in solar glass laboratory
Experience (Specify if any particular area)
B.Sc. ( with chemistry ) with 15 years experience in glass lab or M.Sc. ( chemistry ) or equivalent with 10 years experience in Laboratory
Who is an ideal candidate ?
A B.Sc./M.Sc. (Chemistry) professional with 10–15 years of experience in glass laboratory operations, preferably in solar or flat glass manufacturing. Proficient in wet chemistry and instrumental analysis (AAS, Spectrophotometer, XRF), transmittance/reflectance measurement, and preparing transmission curves. Strong knowledge of ISO/QC processes, lab equipment maintenance, inventory control, and safety. Highly analytical, disciplined, and focused on process improvement and accuracy.
