He told graduates from SFU’s Beedie School of Business and Faculty of Science about his idea of a “world knowledge platform” where core competencies of every nation are identified so they can work together toward global peace and prosperity.

“We all know that global warming, climate change, energy independence, safe drinking water, disease and poverty are no longer problems of individual nations – they are a planetary problem,” said Kalam.
He encouraged nations and societies to resolve conflict with each other, governments to deliver clear leadership, and for all to keep world peace and prosperity as a goal.
