Description

Key Task & Accountabilities

1. Drive the commercial processes for the requirements of Capex/projects, MRO and Services for Head office, warehouses, sales offices and manufacturing plants

2. Hands on procurement of all engineering goods and services including IT, Admin contracts

3. Manage import orderings/contracts for Equipment’s, machineries, Mold’s, Refractories and Raw materials

4. Support logistics and Supply chain function for the Service/Contract finalization

5. Partner closely with Engineering in collaboration with Manufacturing to understand business needs and priorities. Implement Source to Pay process for all assigned areas in order to drive competitive advantage through productivity and innovation initiatives.

6. Manage projects in the Capital /MRO Categories including execution of category strategy, supplier selection, maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating vendor contracts within predefined ranges, track supplier performance.

7. Launch tenders /RFI’s, RFP’s, Auctions as needed within the Company's sourcing policy and conduct negotiations with suppliers with continuous alignment with relevant stakeholders.

8. Understand the nature of request, statement of work and provide Bidding support by managing & executing complex projects or bids

9. Responsible for timely issuance of Purchase Orders to suppliers and arrange the goods in defined timelines.

10. Reduce costs at suppliers through effective utilization of procurement levers (e.g., negotiation- Conventional/virtual, cost transparency, e-sourcing, past purchase bench marking at bid stage & also in order execution)

11. Manage and develop India supplier base in commercial issues, supplier qualification, development, and overall relationship management

12. Contribute to sourcing decisions under consideration of total costs

13. Well versed with the commercial terms & conditions for a typical project

14. Collaborate with various functional teams and with internal customers.

15. Effectively communicate order status in a clear and timely manner

Important Competencies

1. Minimum 5 experience in a Purchase/Procurement role (essential)

2. Well versed with Power point & other basic Microsoft applications including SAP Knowledge of MM module (ECC and S/4 HANA preferred)

3. Demonstrates ownership culture by initiative in developing plans, execution of those plans, focusing on business results, full transparency, open & honest communication and making bold decisions

4. Demonstrated strategic procurement skills in the areas of sourcing, negotiation, pooling, cost transparency, supplier development and supplier relationship management

5. Experience in commercial discussion & negotiation (desirable)

6. Fast learner and adaptable on different process.

7. Independent and able to work with minimum supervision

8. Good analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills

9. Uphold ethical values in procurement dealings and operations in line with the corporate values

Academic & Professional Qualifications

1. Graduate in Engineering

2. Additional qualifications like ICWA or MBA desirable, but not essential

Who is an ideal candidate ?

Commercial/Purchase/Procurement experience, particularly in a Consumer durables company, is a mandatory requirement. Additionally, candidates should possess SAP knowledge, with expertise in the MM module (ECC and S/4 HANA preferred). It is essential that candidates do not come from IT, Packing, or similar backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in procurement end to end, purchase, commercial negotiation, vendor development, and handling Capex, Opex, and MRO goods. Proficiency in SAP ECC/S4 HANA, Microsoft Office, and Excel is a must.
